Funeral services for Virginia Underwood, who died 3-5-2003 were Monday afternoon at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Randall Robinson officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Pallbearers were: Kevin Underwood, Kerry Haupt, Chris Hustedt, John Tomlins, John Kirby and Keith Leathers. paxton record 3-19-2003
DELMAR R. UNDERWOOD
Delmar R. Underwood, 82, of Morton, formerly of Gibson City, died at 8:50 p.m. Friday 7-26-2002 at Manor Care Nursing Home, Peoria. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Randall Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 11 - 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Gibson City. He was born 8-26-1919 at Guthrie, a son of Raleigh J. and Ella Brucker Underwood. He married Virginia Ann Utterback on 8-26-1939 at Dewey. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Delmar Darryl (Mary) Underwood, Manassas, VA.; a daughter, Sharon Kay (Keith) Leathers, Morton; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Underwood, Branson, Mo.; and two sisters, Alberta Tieben and Sylvia Hunt, both of Melvin. Mr. Underwood was a farmer for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Ford County Farm Bureau and the United Methodist Church in Gibson City.
VIRGINIA ANN (UTTERBACK) UNDERWOOD
Virginia Ann Underwood, 82, of Gibson City, died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday 3-5-2003 at Apostolic Christian Restmor, Morton. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Randall Robinson officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Mrs. Underwood was born 8-22-1920 at Moore, Mont., a daughter of Mont and Lela Elizabeth Sawyer Utterback. She married Delmar R. Underwood 8-26-1939 at Dewey. He died 7-26-2002. Surviving are one son, Delmar Darryl (Mary) Underwood of Manassas, Va.; one daughter, Sharon Kay (Keith) Leathers of Morton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One brother, Bill Utterback, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Underwood was a member of United Methodist Church, Gibson City to which memorials may be made.
