Gibson City - John L. Garard, 51, a lifetime resident of Gibson City, died at 1:02 a.m. Tuesday 10-12-1999 at his home.

Gibson City - Vinnie F. Gee, II, 31, of Gibson City died at 12:37 a.m. Friday 12-4-1992 at Covenant Medical Center. Urbana. Private graveside services will be in the Bellflower Twp Cemetery, Bellflower, the Rev. Harry Elwood will officiate.
ROBIN L. GENZEL
Robin L. Genzel, 42, of Buckley, died at 11:31 a.m. Sunday 4-20-2003 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, following a two-car accident at 500N 1600E in Fountain Creek Twp, Iroquois County. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, with the Rev. Mark J. Haller officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley.
Mr. Genzel was born 4-16-1961 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, the son of Glenn W. and Alice A. Krumwiede Genzel. He married Amy J. Benjamin 9-10-1988 at St. Joseph's Church, Colfax, and she survives. Also surviving are three childraen, Kristy, 11, Kaylee, 8, and Connor, 6, all at home; his parents of Buckley, his maternal grandmother, Irma Krumwiede, Buckley; one brother, Troy Genzel, Paxton; one sister, Toni Skaggs, West Lafayette, Ind.; one half-sister Teri Derrick of New Mexico; and numerous other relatives.
Mr. Genzel attended St. John's Lutheran School in Buckley and graduated from Buckley-Loda High School in 1979. He was a general contracctor. He served in the U.S. Army from 1980 - 1983; and was a member of the Buckley American Legion, Byron Hickerson Post 432. He enjoyed NASCAR racing.
Memorials will be placed in an education fund for the Genzel children. Vocalist was Arliss Dettmering and organist was Eileen Janssen. Pallbearers were Bert Helregel, Brad Weisenbarn, Allan Weber, Jim Balk, Greg Ditman and Bob Sammere.

Gibson City - A 45-year-old Gibson City man died and an Elliott man was injured while working in Baton, Rouge, La., on Wednesday. Bobby Goff died 8-14-2002.
A. PERCY GOODRICH
A. Percy Goodrich, age 82 of Gibson City, died at 10:40 p.m. Monday, 3-7-1994 at Gibson Community Hospital in Gibson City. His funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Chrurh in Gibson City with the Reverend Phillip Curran officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation was from 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City and for one hour before the service Thursday at the church. Pallbearers were Harold Medler, Mike Freehill, Kevin Goodrich, Matt Provin, Gary Reiners and Doug Moody. Mr. Goodrich was born 7-24-1911 in Gibson City, a son of Arthur Francis and Bertha M. Percy Goodrich. He married Edna Anderson on 6-6-1937 in Gibson City and she survives. Also surviving are one son, Chester of Washington, Iowa; one daughter, Ruth Haines of Dickerson, Md. and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one infant son and two sisters. Mr. Goodrich was a farmer in the Gibson City area for his entire life. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Gibson City; Ford-Iroquois Farm Bureau and American Guernsey Cattle Club. He was a life member of Chester White Swine Association and was a former member of Gibson Rotary Club. Memorials may be made to his church.
DOROTHY (ZIMMERMAN) GOODRICH
Dorothy Zimmerman Goodrich, age 84 of Gibson City died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday 2-27-1994 at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City with the Reverend Patrick W. Cox officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation was from 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Harold Thomas, John Kincade, Arlen DeWall, Bob Peekin, Everett Fuoss and Ken Meredith. Mrs. Goodrich was born 6-10-1909 near Gibson City, a daughter of Frederick W. and Rhoda J. Davis Zimmerman. Survivors include a brother, F. Leslie Zimmerman of Gibson City; three nieces, Mary L. Bowen, Sonja A. Shubert, and Mikki E. Boyd, all of Gibson City and one nephew, James L. Zimmerman of Brown Mills, NJ. Mrs. Goodrich had lived in Gibson City since September 1980 after residing in Texas for 52 years. She was a member of the United Methdist Church in Gibson City, a 50-year member of OES and a member of the Illinois Federated Women's Club in Gibson City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Illinois Heart Association.

Pearl A. Gordon, 91, a resident of the Gibson City area since 1918, died at 1:50 a.m. yesterday 5-19-1986 at the Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Gordon was born 8-17-1894, near Farmer City, a daughter of Henry and Carrie Lomar Schutte. She married Oliver Morton Gordon 2-1-1917 at Peoria. He died 11-7-1958. Survivors include one son, Lawrence, Gibson City; one daughter, Thelma Rhodes, Gibson City; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter, one brother and two great-grandchildren preceded her in death. Mrs. Gordon was a member of Gibson City United Methodist Church.

The funeral of Eskell W. Gossett, 78, of Gibson City, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City. The Rev. Carl Johnston will officiate. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Gossett, a resident of Gibson City for the past 55 years, died at 3:17 p.m. 10-7-1987 at his home. He was born 6-19-1909 in Somerset, Ky., a son of Wade and Myrtle Gossett. Survivors include two sons, Robert, Brillion, Wis.; and Ronald, Mackinaw; one daughter, Gladys Spangler, Bourbonnais; two brothers, Eugene, Somerset, Ky.; and Louis Owens, Rockford; one sister, Pearl McEe, Columbus, Ohio; and six grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Gragg was struck by a Wabash freight train at Osman, Il. Sunday evening, 5-26-1912 at the age of 32 yr 11 mo 22 da. He married Miss Edna L. Rankin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Miles Rankin in Fisher, Il. They lived on a farm near Morton, Il. for a year, later moving to a farm southeast of Gibson City. In 1910 they moved to a farm near Osman, Il. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Edith and a large number of brothers and sisters. CAROL JEAN (MUNSTER) GRAHAM
Carol Jean Graham, age 74 of Gibson City, died at 4:47 p.m. Wednesday, 12-13-1995 at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal. Her funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City with the Reverend Patrick W. Cox officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery in Gibson City. Visitation was from 5 - 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Dave Kagel, Mike Gilmore, Kevin Poppe, Paul Krueger, Elmo Munster and Ronald Munster. Mrs. Graham was born 4-29-1921 in Colfax, a daughter of Harry and Eva Spry Munster. She married Dale Graham in February 1941 in Colfax. Survivors include her husband, Dale Graham of Gibson City; one daughter, Sandra Reynolds of Gibson City and one sister, LaVon Krueger of Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Mrs. Graham was a resident of Gibson City since 1977 and was formerly form the Anchor - Colfax area. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Colfax. Memorials may be made to Gibson Community Hospital, the United Methodist Church of Gibson City or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Clara M. "Babe" Gramley, 58, of Gibson City, died at 8 p.m. Monday 12-30-1985 at Gibson Community Hospital. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Gramley was born 5-15-1927 at Gibson City, a daughter of Ivor and Tillie Bowen O'Neal. She married Clayton Gramley on 6-3-1951 at Gibson City and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Ron and Jim, both of Gibson City; her mother, Gibson City; two sisters, Mary Rainwater, Gibson City, and Geri Grunewald, Leavenworth, Kansas; and two granddaughters. Her father preceded her in death. Mrs. Gramley and worked for the Sandwich Shop in Gibson City for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gibson City.

Samantha Marie Granados, the infant daughter of Shannon L. Irvin of Gibson City and Refugio Granados of Rantoul, died at 5:35 p.m. Monday 6-18-2001 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City, the Rev. Randall Robinson officiating. Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, is in charge of arrangements. Survivors, in addition to her mother and father, include her maternal grandparents, Roger and Teri Ward of Gibson City and William E. Robert D. Gregerson, 52, of rural Gibson City, a farmer and well-known country western musician, died at 2:35 a.m. yesterday at his home after a long illness. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Gibson City United Methodist Church, the Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 p.m. tonight at the Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City. Mr. Gregerson was born 6-29-1932 at Foosland, a son of Alfred and Gladys Smith Gregerson. He married Charlene Augstin 2-23-1952 at Heyworth. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Larry, Indianapolis, and Gary, Rockford; a daughter, Kathy Thorp, Gibson City; two sisters Frances Farmer, Gibson City, and Alfreeda Miller, Marion; and five grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Gregerson, who was a lifelong resident of this area, was a member for six years of the Gibson City Unit School District Board of Education and served a term as board president. Mr. Gregerson was a member of the Elliott Fire Protection District Board and former president. He was a pilot and owned a plane. He also was a member of Gibson City United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Milam B. Gregory, 69, of Gibson City died at 11:25 p.m. 7-8-1988 at his home. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, Gibson City, the Rev. Dick Cates officiating. Burial will be in the Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. today at the Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, and from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. He was born 2-21-1919 in Elkton, Ky., a son of Roy and Alma Thompson Gregory. He married Elsie Lack on 12-23-1939 in Elkton, Ky. and she survives. Other survivors include his father, Elkton, Ky.; four sons, Gene and Todd, both of Gibson City; Lannie, Palm Harbor, Fl.; and Ronnie, Elliott; three daughters, Brenda Moore, Fairbury; Carolyn Case, Gibson City; Sherry Bachtold, Moline; three brothers, Harold R., Lewisburg, Ky.; Doug, Toledo, Ohio; and Billy R., Elkton, Ky.; three sisters, Nonnie Addison and Mary Gregory, both of Elkton, Ky.; and Margaret Hester, Charlestown, Indiana; 16 grand-children; and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his mother. He lived in Gibson City area for 33 years. He farmed until 1972 then worked for the Gibson City school district for 12 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gibson City, where memorials may be made.

R. Todd Gregory, age 28 of Gibson City was dead at 6:20 p.m. Saturday 8-11-1990 at the South East Missouri Hospital, Cape Girardeau, Missouri after falling from a tower on which he was working in Ullin, Illinois. His funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City with the Reverend Dick Cates officiating. Burial will be in the Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation was held from 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Joe Garcia Corrie VanScoyoc; Chad Gregory, David Welborn, Tim Fackler and John Meredith. He was born 8-12-1961 in Gibson City, a son of Milam and Elsie Lack Gregory. He married Janet Garcia on 3-25-1985 in El Paso, Texas and she survives. Also surviving are his mother of Gibson City; three sons, Andre, Jordan and Nicholas, all at home; three brothers, Gene and Ron, both of Gibson City, and Lannie of Palm Harbor, Fl.; and three sisters, Brenda Moore of Fairbury; Carolyn Case of Gibson City and Sherry Bachtold of Moline. His father preceded him in death. Mr. Gregory lived most of his life in Gibson City where he had been employed by Rhodes Tower Service, Inc. for the past six years. Lincoln - Trenna A. Gresham, 50, of Lincoln died at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday 2-29-2000 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta. The Rev. Dan Bird will officiate. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. She was born 5-23-1949 in Bloomington, the daughter of Raymond and Carrie Gordon Gresham. Survivors include two brothers, Gerald (Debbie) Gresham, Atlanta; and Steven Gresham, Lincoln; and one sister, Sheila (Dennis) Pence, Phoenix, AZ. Other survivors include one nephew, two nieces and five great-nephews. Her parents preceded her in death. She was a foster mother to several children through the years. She was employed at the Lincoln Developmental Center for 27 years. She was a member of the Jefferson Street Christian Church, Lincoln; Eagle Lodge No 2708, Lincoln; and the Lincoln Jaycees.
ANNA ISABELLE (STOVER) McCLURE GRIGGS
The funeral of Anna Isabelle Griggs, 96, of Bloomington, more recently of Gibson City, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. Ralph E. Wingate, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Stouts Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Mrs. Griggs died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday 4-5-2003 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Gibson City. She was born 10-18-1906 in Danvers, a daughter of William and Eva Powers Stover. She married Emery McClure in 1927. He died in 1961. She married George Griggs 1-10-1976 at Normal. He died 2-16-1988. Surviving are one daughter, Joyce (Frank) Gibbens of Saybrook; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. One son, one granddaughter, two brothrs and two sisters preceded her in death. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Normal, and the Prime Timers group at the church. She was a graduate of Danvers High School.
WILMA C. (JARDINE) BORCHERS GROEN
Wilma C. Groen, 77, died at 11 a.m. yesterday 10-17-1985 at Mercy Hospital, Urbana. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. She was born 10-30-1907 at Elliott, a daughter of John and Cora Davidson Jardine. She married Albert Borchers on 2-9-1929 at Paxton. He died on 6-17-1950. She then married Eugene P. Groen on 11-23-1955 at Melvin. He died 11-4-1977. Survivors include one brother, Warren Jardine, San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Elliott. She was a life-long resident of the Gibson City area.
W.H. "SLIM" GULLETT
W.H. "Slim" Gullett, 84, of Watseka, formerly of Paxton and a dry cleaner there for 45 years, died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday, 1-31-1988 at Watseka Manor Nursing Home. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Knapp - Miller Funeral Home, Paxton, the Rev. Dean Christianson officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp. Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Gullett was born 11-9-1903, near Elliott, a son of William Henry and Hannah Hansen Gullett. He married Dortha Cottle on 8-17-1935 in Paxton and she survives. Other survivors include one son, Bill, Bellevue, Neb.; one daughter, Priscilla Hagen, Watseka; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Gullett who lived in Ford County for 81 years, was reared in Elliott and educated in Gibson City schools. He owned and operated Paxton Cleaners and Dyers for 45 years. He was mayor of Paxton for 12 years from 1957 - 1969 and was an alderman from 1953 - 1957. Mr. Gullett was a Ford County deputy sheriff from 1945 - 1970, and assisted the Ford County Coroner while serving as deputy sheriff. He was a charter member of Lakeview Country Club and served as treasurer of its Men's Golf Association; member of Paxton Masonic Lodge 416 and Knights Templars; American Dry Cleaners Association; and the First United Methodist Church of Paxton. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge.
